January 2022

Dear Parents, Carers, Guardians,

May I take this opportunity to wish you a wonderful new year!

It is wonderful to be back at school and the staff and I have been working hard all morning to make sure everything is ready for the children returning tomorrow.

A few updates:

COVID

I received an update from the Secretary of Education last week which confirmed that there would be no additional changes to the current school COVID restrictions. Any staff who are fully vaccinated who come into close contact, are not required to take a PCR test, but should complete an LFT. Isolation has been dropped from 10 days to 7 days.

As a school we will continue to fully adhere to the guidelines. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact us. If the information changes, we will let you know as soon as possible.

Please note that due to COVID, we will be short-staffed this week so we really appreciate your patience and understanding.

Weather

The weather is supposed to take a turn for the worst this week so please make sure your children have hats and coats for school etc. as we endeavour to take them outside as much as possible.

School Development Plan Meeting

Please note that there is a School Development Plan meeting for parents on 20th January at 6.30pm, should you wish to attend. Please let Arlene know if you are attending, no later than Monday 10th January so that we can prepare for numbers and social distancing etc. If you cannot attend but would still like the notes, we can send them to you afterwards.

Friday Round-Up: Proud Cloud

Due to it being a short week, there will be no Friday Round-Up this week, but please remember to send in your Proud Cloud sentiments for the things you are most proud of your child for. See the last Friday Round-Up in December for more information. Proud Clouds should be sent to me at jmcguigan946@c2kni.net

Christmas/New Year Pictures

We would love to see some pictures of our children enjoying their holidays! Please feel free to send them to me for our next Friday Round-Up feature.

We cannot to see everyone tomorrow and see all those smiling faces!

Have a great day,

Mrs McGuigan
