Official Confirmation regarding pupils in N & P1/2/3
15 March 2021 (by ballycastle)
Principals of Primary schools received confirmation from the Minister of Education on Friday 12 March that junior pupils will remain in school until the Easter Holidays.
This decision has been welcomed by school leaders, teachers and parents alike. As pupils from Nursery, P1, P2 and P3 have returned to face-to-face learning in the classroom schools are no longer required to provide remote learning for these year groups. Seesaw has proved to be an invaluable communication and learning tool for pupils, parents and teachers during Lockdown. Now that your child has returned to the classroom, Seesaw reverts to being used as a means of showing parents the learning that is taking place during the week in school and will not be checked by teachers until the end of the school day. If you have a message for your child's teacher, please send in a note or ring the school and Arlene will pass on your message. As Principal, I continue to monitor the use of Seesaw and Teams to ensure they are being used by teachers and parents in accordance with our school policy.
