This week sees the start of our P6 class attending their first STEM Day at Cross and Passion College.
Together with pupils from St Patrick's & St Brigid's and the Gaelscoil, our pupils will get the opportunity to explore areas of Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths through workshops provided by STEM Ambassadors, including engineers, mathematicians and scientists. The three schools are the first in Northern Ireland to be selected by The National Science Learning Centre to take part in this initiative. The children will work towards completing their CREST Science Award, which is endorsed by the British Science Association and gain certificates by the end of the school year when all eight tasks are completed.
