Toast and Fruit Tuck Shop

8 April 2018 (by ballycastle)

From tomorrow Monday 9th April 2018 our new 'Break Tuck Shop' will be up and running.

School staff will be preparing bread, toast, apples and bananas at break for the summer term. Children will order their break as per usual, however, the cost will be reduced from 30p to 25p per round of toast and for a piece of fruit. I would like to thank Kathleen, the Cook and her staff for selling toast and fruit. As well as being able to offer break at a reduced price to parents, all profits from the tuck shop will go into school funds to purchase resources for the children. This means that the school directly benefits from the sale of break, whereas, in the past the Meals Kitchen Service retained all profits. Over time we plan to offer a greater variety of fruit and a fruit salad option one day per week. We believe this to be a positive move on behalf of the school, one that will directly benefit our pupils. Mrs Evans
